Stir-fry is often a go-to recipe for a quick and healthy dinner. It’s extremely versatile and an easy way to ensure your child eats all their veggies. The secret to a yummy stir-fry is in the sauce – this recipe is super easy and delicious!
You will need:
- ¼ cup reduced-salt soy sauce
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable stock
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 3 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
- 2 ½ teaspoons cornflour
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Mix the soy sauce, stock, honey, garlic, and ginger until well combined. In a separate bowl, mix the cornflour and cold water until smooth. Cook your favourite vegetables in a large pan on a stovetop until slightly softened, remove from the pan, and set aside. Cook your protein of choice in the same pan – once browned add the sauce ingredients and cornflour mix to your protein and stir constantly until thickened. Add your veggies and mix until everything is covered.
