Are my kids getting enough fruits and veggies?

We often stress whether our kids are eating enough fruits and veggies.

This quick guide offers average portion sizes for little ones – and relax! It really isn’t that much.

Children (and adults) should aim to have 2 portions of fruit and 3 of veggies per day.

Fruits:

  • ¼ -1 medium banana
  • 3 or more strawberries
  • 3-8 blueberries
  • 4-6 medium cubes of watermelon
  • ½ kiwi

Vegetables:

  • 3 cherry tomatoes
  • 1-2 tablespoons of peas
  • 1-2 tablespoons of broccoli
  • 3 baby carrots

Try adding veggies to meat dishes or add some yummy tzatziki or hummus for dipping finger foods (such as baby corn or carrots). Kids love playing with their food!
